Do not use if
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to urea or any other ingredient in the formulation. Avoid application on acutely inflamed, infected, or broken skin.
Side effects
Transient stinging, burning, itching, or irritation may occur at the application site, typically resolving without intervention. These effects are more common at higher concentrations.
Warnings
For topical use only. Avoid contact with eyes, lips, and mucous membranes. Keep out of reach of children. Store at controlled room temperature (20–25°C).
How it works
Urea dissolves the intercellular cementing substance of the stratum corneum, causing gentle loosening and removal of the hyperkeratotic layer. This keratolytic and hydrating action restores softness and flexibility to thickened skin. Higher concentrations also exert proteolytic effects.
Storage
Store at 20–25°C (68–77°F). Do not freeze. Keep container tightly closed.
