Uses

Hyaluronan sodium salt in oral gels is used to protect and soothe oral mucosal lesions including aphthous ulcers, minor oral trauma, and post-surgical oral wounds. It forms a protective film over lesions to promote healing.

Do not use if

Hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid sodium salt or any component of the formulation.

Side effects

Generally very well tolerated. Rare local reactions such as transient mild irritation may occur. Systemic effects are not expected with topical oral use.

Warnings

For oral mucosal use only; avoid swallowing large amounts. Discontinue if signs of allergic reaction develop. Keep out of reach of children.

How it works

Hyaluronan sodium salt is the sodium salt form of hyaluronic acid, a high-molecular-weight glycosaminoglycan. It provides a viscoelastic barrier over oral mucosal lesions, retains moisture, modulates inflammatory mediators, and promotes tissue repair and re-epithelialization.

Store at room temperature (15–25°C), away from direct light. Do not freeze.
