Uses
Used to reduce elevated intraocular pressure in open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in asthma, severe COPD, sinus bradycardia, heart block, heart failure, and hypersensitivity.
Side effects
May cause eye burning, stinging, blurred vision, dry eyes, and systemic beta-blocker effects.
Warnings
Systemic absorption may cause cardiovascular or respiratory adverse effects.
How it works
A nonselective beta-blocker that reduces aqueous humor production and lowers intraocular pressure.
