Uses
Used as a dietary supplement to support joint health, reduce oxidative stress, and promote general well-being. May help alleviate mild inflammatory discomfort associated with joints.
Do not use if
Avoid in patients with gallstones or bile duct obstruction (turmeric). Use caution in patients on anticoagulant therapy due to mild blood-thinning effects of ginger and turmeric.
Side effects
Generally well tolerated. May cause mild gastrointestinal upset, heartburn, or nausea at high doses. Turmeric may rarely cause allergic skin reactions.
Warnings
Consult a physician before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and in patients taking antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs. Not a substitute for prescribed anti-inflammatory therapy.
How it works
Ginger contains gingerols and shogaols that inhibit pro-inflammatory mediators. Curcumin in turmeric inhibits NF-κB and COX-2 pathways, exerting antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
