Uses

Promotes wakefulness in adults with excessive sleepiness associated with narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea, or shift work disorder.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to armodafinil, modafinil, or formulation components.

Side effects

Headache, nausea, dizziness, insomnia, anxiety, and dry mouth are common. Serious skin reactions are rare but important.

Warnings

Discontinue immediately if rash, hypersensitivity, angioedema, or multi-organ reactions are suspected. Monitor psychiatric and cardiovascular symptoms.
