Uses
Indicated for treatment of documented life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias such as sustained ventricular tachycardia.
Do not use if
Cardiogenic shock or preexisting second- or third-degree AV block without a functioning pacemaker.
Side effects
Common adverse effects include nausea, vomiting, heartburn, tremor, dizziness, and nervous system symptoms.
Warnings
May cause proarrhythmic effects. Initiation and monitoring should be performed under specialist supervision.
