Do not use if
Contraindicated in hypersensitivity to ivy, licorice, or thyme. Use with caution in patients with hypertension, hypokalemia, or hepatic disease due to licorice content.
Side effects
Generally well tolerated. Gastrointestinal complaints such as nausea or epigastric discomfort may occasionally occur. Prolonged use of licorice may lead to pseudohyperaldosteronism.
Warnings
Consult a physician if cough persists for more than 7 days or is accompanied by high fever. Avoid high doses of licorice-containing products during pregnancy. Not recommended in children under 2 years without medical advice.
How it works
Ivy leaf extract (hederacoside C) exerts bronchospasmolytic and secretolytic effects by activating beta-2 adrenoceptors and reducing surface tension of mucus. Thyme liquid extract provides antimicrobial and antispasmodic activity. Licorice root reduces airway inflammation and soothes irritated mucosa.
Storage
Store at room temperature away from direct sunlight. Keep tightly closed after opening.
