Used to prevent or treat folate deficiency and as a nutritional source of active folate.

Do not use if

Hypersensitivity to l-methylfolate or formulation components.

Generally well tolerated. Rarely may cause nausea, irritability, or allergic reactions.

Evaluate unexplained anemia before treatment.

Biologically active form of folate involved in DNA synthesis, methylation, and red blood cell production.

Store in a cool, dry place.
