Uses

Used to prevent stroke in nonvalvular atrial fibrillation and to prevent and treat deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in active pathological bleeding and severe hypersensitivity to apixaban.

Bleeding, bruising, anemia, and nausea may occur.

Premature discontinuation increases thrombotic risk. Serious bleeding may occur.

Selective factor Xa inhibitor that reduces thrombin generation and clot formation.

Store at 20–25°C in original packaging.
