Uses

Used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet and exercise alone are insufficient.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, and hypersensitivity to sulfonylureas.

May cause hypoglycemia, nausea, skin reactions, and weight gain.

Monitor blood glucose regularly. Elderly patients may be at higher risk of prolonged hypoglycemia.

A first-generation sulfonylurea that stimulates pancreatic insulin secretion.

Store below 25°C in a dry place.
