Uses

Infant milk formula is indicated as a breast milk substitute or supplement for infants when breastfeeding is not possible, insufficient, or contraindicated. Anti-reflux formulas contain thickening agents to reduce gastroesophageal regurgitation in infants.

Do not use if

Not recommended as a substitute for breastfeeding unless medically indicated. Contraindicated in infants with galactosemia or known cow's milk protein allergy (standard formulas). Anti-reflux formulas should be used under medical supervision.

Side effects

Generally well tolerated. Some infants may experience constipation, gas, or mild gastrointestinal discomfort. Allergic reactions to cow's milk protein can occur. Anti-reflux formulations may cause thicker stools.

Warnings

Improper preparation (incorrect dilution) can lead to nutritional deficiencies or overfeeding. Always follow preparation instructions carefully. Breast milk remains the recommended first choice for infant nutrition where possible.

How it works

Storage
