Uses

This four-component supplement (calcium carbonate, magnesium, vitamin D3, and zinc) is used to support bone health, prevent deficiency of these minerals and vitamins, and support immune function. Zinc adds benefits for enzyme function and immune defense.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in hypercalcemia, severe renal impairment, and in patients with a history of calcium kidney stones. Avoid excessive intake of zinc.

Side effects

May cause constipation, nausea, and gastrointestinal upset. Excessive zinc intake can cause copper deficiency and gastrointestinal disturbances. High-dose vitamin D can lead to hypercalcemia.

Warnings

Monitor calcium levels during prolonged supplementation. Separate doses of calcium supplements from tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones, and levothyroxine by at least 2 hours. High zinc intake over long periods may reduce copper absorption.
