Uses

Used as an ophthalmic lubricant to relieve dryness, irritation, and discomfort of the eye, including dry eye syndrome and environmental-induced ocular surface stress. Provides sustained moisturization and protection.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in known hypersensitivity to any component. Not intended for injection.

Side effects

Generally very well tolerated. Transient mild blurring of vision immediately after instillation may occur. Allergic reactions are rare.

Warnings

If wearing soft contact lenses, remove before instillation and wait at least 15 minutes before reinsertion. Seek medical advice if symptoms do not improve or if pain, redness, or visual changes occur.

How it works

Ectoin is a natural extremolyte that forms a protective hydration shell around biological macromolecules, stabilizing cell membranes and reducing inflammatory signaling on the ocular surface. Sodium hyaluronate provides viscoelastic lubrication and promotes epithelial healing. Sodium chloride maintains osmotic balance.

Storage

Store at room temperature (2°C–25°C). Single-dose ampoules should be used immediately after opening and discarded after use.
