Uses

Nutritional supplement used to support hormonal balance and ovarian function in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). May improve insulin sensitivity, menstrual regularity, and egg quality. Used as adjunctive support in assisted reproductive technology.

Do not use if

Hypersensitivity to any component. Use with caution in patients on antidiabetic medications due to potential additive insulin-sensitizing effects.

Side effects

Generally well tolerated. Mild gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, flatulence, or diarrhea may occur, particularly at the start of therapy.

Warnings

Not a substitute for medical treatment of PCOS. Inform healthcare provider if pregnant or planning pregnancy. Methylfolate can mask signs of vitamin B12 deficiency.

How it works

Myo-inositol and D-chiro-inositol are naturally occurring isomers involved in insulin signal transduction and ovarian steroidogenesis. The 40:1 myo:D-chiro ratio mirrors physiological plasma concentrations. 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (methyl folate) is the active form of folate, essential for one-carbon metabolism and DNA synthesis, supporting pre-conceptional health.
