Uses
Combination suppository used in children to relieve cough, upper respiratory symptoms, and associated fever. Paracetamol reduces fever and pain; gelsemium and grindelia extracts have traditional antitussive and bronchospasmolytic properties; niaouli essence provides mild antiseptic and mucolytic effects.
Do not use if
Hypersensitivity to any ingredient. Avoid in patients with hepatic impairment or known sensitivity to paracetamol. Use only under pediatric guidance.
Side effects
Paracetamol is generally well tolerated at therapeutic doses. Rare side effects include allergic reactions. Herbal components may occasionally cause mild gastrointestinal discomfort.
Warnings
Do not exceed recommended pediatric doses. Avoid concurrent use with other paracetamol-containing products. Consult a physician if fever persists beyond 3 days.
How it works
Paracetamol acts centrally to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis, reducing fever and mild pain. Gelsemium and grindelia have traditional use as antispasmodics and expectorants. Niaouli (Melaleuca quinquenervia) provides mild antiseptic and mucolytic properties.
