Uses

A B-complex multivitamin supplement used to prevent or treat deficiencies of B vitamins. Supports energy metabolism, nervous system function, and skin health.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component. Use with caution in patients with hepatic disease.

Side effects

Generally well tolerated at recommended doses. High doses of nicotinamide may cause flushing, nausea, or hepatotoxicity. High doses of vitamin B6 over prolonged periods may cause peripheral neuropathy.

Warnings

Do not exceed recommended doses. Patients with chronic liver disease should use under medical supervision. Urine discoloration (yellow) with riboflavin is harmless.

How it works

Each B vitamin serves as a coenzyme or precursor in metabolic pathways. Thiamine (B1) is involved in carbohydrate metabolism; riboflavin (B2) in electron transport; pyridoxine (B6) in amino acid metabolism; nicotinamide in NAD/NADP synthesis; and pantothenate in coenzyme A synthesis.

Store at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
