Traditionally used for cough with bronchial irritation and mucus production.

Do not use if

Hypersensitivity or severe hepatic impairment.

Dizziness, nausea, flushing, and gastrointestinal discomfort.

Use with caution in patients prone to low blood pressure.

Guaifenesin acts as an expectorant and papaverine has smooth muscle relaxant properties.
