Uses

Used for severe inflammatory, allergic, autoimmune, endocrine, and other conditions when systemic corticosteroid therapy is required.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in systemic fungal infections unless appropriate antifungal therapy is provided.

May cause fluid retention, hypertension, hyperglycemia, muscle weakness, osteoporosis, mood changes, and increased infection risk.

Serious neurologic events have been reported with epidural corticosteroid administration. Long-term use may suppress adrenal function.

Dexamethasone is a potent synthetic glucocorticoid with strong anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects.

Store at 20–25°C, protect from light, and avoid excessive temperatures.
