Uses
This emollient cream formulation is indicated for the management of dry, sensitive, or eczema-prone skin. It helps restore and maintain the skin's moisture barrier, providing prolonged hydration and relief from dryness and irritation.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation. Avoid use on acutely infected or weeping skin lesions without medical guidance.
Side effects
Generally very well tolerated. Rare cases of contact dermatitis or allergic reactions to individual components may occur. Petrolatum and mineral oil may occlude pores in some individuals.
Warnings
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. If skin irritation persists or worsens, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
How it works
This combination of emollients, humectants, and occlusives works synergistically: glycerin attracts water to the skin (humectant), dimethicone and petrolatum form an occlusive barrier to prevent transepidermal water loss, while cetearyl alcohol and squalane soften and smooth the skin surface.
