Uses
Protective and soothing topical formulation used for dry, sensitive, or irritated skin. Contains emollients and a mild antiseptic (triclosan) and skin protectant (zinc oxide). Suitable for diaper rash and minor skin irritations.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component. Avoid contact with eyes. Not for use on deep wounds or infected skin without medical supervision.
Side effects
Generally very well tolerated. Rare allergic reactions to lanolin or triclosan may occur in sensitive individuals.
Warnings
Due to concerns about antimicrobial resistance and endocrine disruption, triclosan use is restricted in some countries. For external use only.
How it works
Beeswax, vaseline (petrolatum), and lanolin form an occlusive emollient barrier that reduces transepidermal water loss. Olive oil provides additional moisturization. Zinc oxide has mild astringent and antiseptic properties. Triclosan provides broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity.
Storage
Store below 25°C, away from heat and direct sunlight. Keep tightly closed.
