Uses

Corticosteroid used to relieve inflammatory and itchy corticosteroid-responsive skin disorders. Injectable forms are also used in various inflammatory conditions.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to triamcinolone acetonide or formulation components.

Side effects

Burning, itching, irritation, dryness, folliculitis, acneiform eruptions, skin discoloration, and allergic contact reactions may occur.

Warnings

Prolonged or extensive use may increase systemic corticosteroid effects. Avoid inappropriate use on infected or damaged skin.

How it works

A glucocorticoid with anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects. It suppresses inflammatory mediator activity.

Store at 20–25°C and protect from excessive heat.
