Uses

Used for susceptible mixed anaerobic and bacterial infections, particularly dental and oral infections.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to metronidazole, spiramycin, or related compounds.

Nausea, abdominal discomfort, metallic taste, diarrhea, and allergic reactions may occur.

Avoid alcohol during and shortly after metronidazole therapy. Use cautiously in hepatic impairment.

Combines nitroimidazole activity against anaerobes with macrolide antibacterial activity against susceptible organisms.

Store at room temperature away from moisture.
