Used in parenteral nutrition to provide essential and nonessential amino acids when oral or enteral intake is inadequate.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in severe disorders of amino acid metabolism and certain severe hepatic conditions depending on formulation.

May cause infusion-site reactions, electrolyte abnormalities, nausea, or metabolic complications.

Requires monitoring of fluid status, electrolytes, liver function, and nutritional parameters.
