Uses

Adjunct to diet and exercise for type 2 diabetes mellitus; also used in weight-management indications depending on formulation.

Do not use if

Personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma, MEN2, or serious hypersensitivity.

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, decreased appetite, hypoglycemia in some settings.

May increase risk of thyroid C-cell tumors and pancreatitis; monitor appropriately.

GLP-1 receptor agonist that enhances glucose-dependent insulin secretion and reduces appetite.

Store according to labeled refrigeration and handling instructions.
