Used for induction of general anesthesia and short procedural sedation.

Do not use if

Hypersensitivity to barbiturates and acute porphyria.

Respiratory depression, hypotension, drowsiness, and cardiovascular depression may occur.

Requires close monitoring of airway, respiration, and cardiovascular status.

Ultra-short acting barbiturate that enhances inhibitory neurotransmission in the central nervous system.

Store according to manufacturer instructions and protect reconstituted solutions as directed.
