Uses
Used for uncomplicated urinary tract infections, otitis media, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis exacerbations, and uncomplicated gonorrhea.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to cefixime or other cephalosporins.
Side effects
Diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, and vomiting may occur.
Warnings
Serious hypersensitivity reactions and Clostridioides difficile-associated diarrhea may occur.
