Used for serious Gram-positive bacterial infections including pneumonia, skin infections, and vancomycin-resistant enterococcal infections.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in hypersensitivity to linezolid and in patients receiving MAO inhibitors.

Diarrhea, headache, nausea, thrombocytopenia, and anemia may occur.

Monitor blood counts during prolonged therapy. Serotonin syndrome may occur with serotonergic drugs.

Oxazolidinone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis.
