Uses

Used for relief of depressive symptoms, particularly major depressive disorders.

Do not use if

Contraindicated with MAO inhibitors and in certain recent cardiac conditions.

Drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness, constipation, and cardiovascular effects may occur.

Monitor for suicidal thoughts, especially early in treatment and in younger patients.

A tricyclic antidepressant with sedative and anxiolytic properties.

Store at 20–25°C in a tightly closed container.
