Uses
Indicated for the maintenance treatment of asthma in patients 5 years of age and older. It is not intended for relief of acute bronchospasm.
Do not use if
Primary treatment of status asthmaticus or acute asthma episodes requiring intensive treatment, and hypersensitivity to any component.
Side effects
May cause oral candidiasis, headache, throat irritation, tremor, palpitations, and other corticosteroid- or LABA-related effects.
Warnings
Not for acute asthma attacks. Monitor for worsening asthma, oral fungal infection, and systemic corticosteroid effects.
How it works
Combines a long-acting beta2-agonist bronchodilator with an inhaled corticosteroid to improve airway function and reduce inflammation.
