Uses

Used for serious bacterial infections including complicated skin, intra-abdominal infections, and bacterial meningitis caused by susceptible organisms.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to meropenem, carbapenems, or severe beta-lactam allergy.

Side effects

Diarrhea, nausea, rash, headache, hypersensitivity reactions, and seizures in susceptible patients may occur.

Warnings

Serious hypersensitivity reactions and severe skin reactions may occur. Monitor for seizures in high-risk patients.
