Uses
Used topically for the prevention and treatment of hypertrophic scars and keloids following surgery, burns, or injury. Helps flatten, soften, and reduce redness of raised scars over time.
Do not use if
Hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation. Avoid use on open wounds or infected skin.
Side effects
Generally well tolerated. Occasional mild skin irritation, itching, or redness at the application site may occur.
Warnings
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Discontinue if significant irritation develops.
How it works
Onion extract (Allium cepa) exerts anti-inflammatory and antiproliferative effects on fibroblasts, reducing excessive collagen deposition. Silicone forms an occlusive barrier that hydrates the stratum corneum and modulates scar maturation.
