Uses

Used to reduce intracranial pressure, treat cerebral edema, and lower elevated intraocular pressure.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in anuria, severe hypovolemia, pulmonary edema, active intracranial bleeding, and hypersensitivity.

Electrolyte imbalance, dehydration, headache, nausea, and fluid overload may occur.

Monitor renal function, fluid balance, and electrolytes during therapy.

Osmotic diuretic that increases plasma osmolality and promotes water excretion.

Store according to product instructions and inspect for crystallization before use.
