Uses
Used for edema associated with heart failure, liver disease, or kidney disorders and in selected hypertensive patients.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in anuria, severe electrolyte disturbances, and hypersensitivity to components.
Side effects
May cause dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, dizziness, hyperkalemia, and increased urination.
Warnings
Monitor kidney function, hydration status, and electrolyte levels.
How it works
Combines a loop diuretic with a potassium-sparing diuretic to enhance diuresis while reducing potassium loss.
