Uses

Used for moderate to severe pain and as an adjunct in anesthesia and obstetric analgesia.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in significant respiratory depression, severe asthma, gastrointestinal obstruction, and hypersensitivity.

May cause sedation, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, sweating, and dry mouth.

Carries risks of opioid misuse, addiction, respiratory depression, and overdose.

Nalbuphine is a kappa-opioid receptor agonist and mu-opioid receptor antagonist with analgesic properties.
