Uses

A topical formulation used for temporary relief of minor muscle and joint pain, stiffness, backache, and bruises. Applied by massage to the affected area.

Do not use if

Avoid use on broken, irritated, or infected skin. Contraindicated in children under 2 years of age due to risk of camphor and menthol toxicity. Do not use near the face or nostrils of infants.

Side effects

May cause local skin irritation, redness, or a cooling/warming sensation. Rarely, allergic contact dermatitis may occur. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

Warnings

For external use only. Keep away from open flames as product may be flammable. Wash hands thoroughly after use. Consult a physician if pain persists beyond 7 days.

How it works

Camphor and menthol act as counter-irritants that stimulate cutaneous cold and warm receptors, temporarily masking pain. Clove oil contains eugenol, a natural analgesic and anti-inflammatory agent. Eucalyptus oil has mild analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. Methyl sulfonyl methane (MSM) is a sulfur-containing compound that may reduce inflammation and oxidative stress.

Storage

Store at room temperature away from heat and direct sunlight. Keep container tightly closed.
