Uses
Topical anti-acne cream used to treat mild to moderate acne vulgaris. Reduces comedones, controls bacteria, and soothes inflamed skin.
Do not use if
Known hypersensitivity to salicylates or any component. Avoid use on large body surface areas, inflamed or broken skin, and in children under 2 years due to risk of salicylate absorption.
Side effects
May cause local dryness, peeling, erythema, or mild burning sensation, particularly with salicylic acid. Triclosan may occasionally cause contact sensitization with repeated use.
Warnings
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Use sun protection when applying salicylic acid products, as photosensitivity may increase. Note that triclosan use is restricted or under review in some countries due to environmental and resistance concerns.
How it works
Salicylic acid is a keratolytic beta-hydroxy acid that loosens and exfoliates comedones by dissolving intercellular lipids in the stratum corneum and reducing follicular hyperkeratosis. Triclosan is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent that inhibits bacterial fatty acid synthesis, reducing Cutibacterium acnes colonization. Allantoin soothes and promotes skin healing, counterbalancing the irritant effects of the other active ingredients.
Storage
Store at room temperature below 25°C, in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
