How it works
Nefopam is a centrally acting analgesic with a unique mechanism distinct from opioids and NSAIDs. It inhibits the reuptake of dopamine, noradrenaline, and serotonin in the central nervous system, thereby modulating pain transmission. It also has some sodium channel blocking activity.
