Uses

Benzodiazepine antagonist used for reversal of benzodiazepine sedation and management of benzodiazepine overdose.

Do not use if

Hypersensitivity to flumazenil or situations where benzodiazepines are used to control life-threatening conditions.

May cause dizziness, agitation, nausea, anxiety, or seizures in susceptible patients.

Requires close monitoring because re-sedation and seizures may occur.

Competitively blocks benzodiazepine binding at GABA-A receptors, reversing their sedative effects.

Store at controlled room temperature and protect from excessive heat.
