Uses

Used for serious bacterial infections including respiratory, urinary, skin, intra-abdominal, and bloodstream infections.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to ceftazidime or cephalosporins.

Injection-site reactions, diarrhea, rash, and hypersensitivity reactions may occur.

Use cautiously in patients with a history of penicillin or beta-lactam allergy.

Third-generation cephalosporin that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis.

Store at 20–25°C and protect from light.
