Used with other antiretroviral medicines for treatment of HIV-1 infection and for HIV-1 pre-exposure prophylaxis in eligible individuals.

Do not use if

For PrEP, use is contraindicated in individuals with unknown or positive HIV-1 status.

Nausea, diarrhea, headache, renal impairment, decreased bone mineral density, and fatigue may occur.

Monitor renal function and hepatitis B status. Stopping therapy may worsen hepatitis B infection.

Combination of two nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors that suppress HIV replication.

Store at controlled room temperature in the original container.
