Uses

Used for treatment and prevention of iron deficiency anemia. May be used during pregnancy when iron supplementation is required.

Do not use if

Hypersensitivity, hemochromatosis, hemosiderosis, some hemolytic anemias, or iron overload disorders.

May cause nausea, constipation, diarrhea, heartburn, vomiting, or abdominal discomfort. Dark stools may occur.

Accidental overdose can be fatal in children. Keep out of reach of children.

Ferrous fumarate supplies elemental iron required for hemoglobin synthesis and red blood cell production.

Store in a tightly closed, light-protected container at room temperature.
