Used to prevent organ transplant rejection and to treat certain autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to azathioprine. Use in pregnancy requires careful risk assessment.

Bone marrow suppression, nausea, vomiting, infections, and liver enzyme elevations may occur.

May increase the risk of serious infections, malignancies, and severe hematologic toxicity.

Purine antimetabolite immunosuppressant that inhibits lymphocyte proliferation.

Store at room temperature in a dry place.
