Uses

This combination is indicated for the symptomatic relief of pain, irritation, pruritus, and inflammation associated with haemorrhoids and other anorectal disorders. Framycetin provides antibacterial cover, cinchocaine offers local anaesthesia, hydrocortisone reduces inflammation, and aesculin promotes capillary protection.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any component, tuberculosis, fungal or viral infections of the anorectal area, and in children under 12 years of age without medical supervision.

Side effects

Local reactions such as burning, stinging, or rash may occur. Prolonged use of topical corticosteroids may cause skin atrophy, striae, and increased susceptibility to infection. Systemic absorption of hydrocortisone is possible with prolonged use.

Warnings

Avoid prolonged use beyond one week without medical advice. Do not use in the presence of active infection not covered by the antibiotic component. Topical corticosteroid use near the eye should be avoided.

How it works

The formulation combines four complementary mechanisms: aesculin (coumarin glycoside) reduces capillary fragility; cinchocaine (amide local anaesthetic) blocks sodium channels to relieve pain; framycetin (aminoglycoside antibiotic) inhibits bacterial protein synthesis; hydrocortisone (corticosteroid) suppresses local inflammatory mediators.

Store below 25°C, away from direct heat and light. Do not freeze.
