Uses

Used for acute bacterial skin and skin structure infections and community-acquired bacterial pneumonia caused by susceptible organisms.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with serious hypersensitivity to ceftaroline or other cephalosporins.

May cause diarrhea, nausea, rash, positive Coombs test, hypersensitivity reactions, and Clostridioides difficile-associated diarrhea.

Monitor for anaphylaxis, neurological effects, and antibiotic-associated diarrhea.

A cephalosporin antibacterial that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis.

Store according to manufacturer recommendations and protect from excessive heat.
