Uses
Used for acute bacterial skin and skin structure infections and community-acquired bacterial pneumonia caused by susceptible organisms.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in patients with serious hypersensitivity to ceftaroline or other cephalosporins.
Side effects
May cause diarrhea, nausea, rash, positive Coombs test, hypersensitivity reactions, and Clostridioides difficile-associated diarrhea.
Warnings
Monitor for anaphylaxis, neurological effects, and antibiotic-associated diarrhea.
