Uses

Used for treatment of susceptible staphylococcal and other gram-positive bacterial infections.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in hypersensitivity to fusidic acid or sodium fusidate.

Nausea, abdominal discomfort, rash, and liver enzyme elevations may occur.

Monitor liver function during prolonged therapy and avoid inappropriate combination with certain statins.

Steroidal antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by interfering with elongation factor G.

Store at room temperature.
