Uses
Used for the treatment of hypertension and reduction of cardiovascular risk in selected patients.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to ACE inhibitors or history of ACE inhibitor–associated angioedema.
Side effects
May cause cough, dizziness, hypotension, headache, and elevated potassium levels.
Warnings
Can cause fetal harm during pregnancy. Monitor kidney function and potassium levels.
How it works
An ACE inhibitor that lowers blood pressure by reducing angiotensin II formation.
