Uses

Used as a nasal hygiene solution to cleanse and moisturize the nasal passages. It helps relieve nasal congestion, remove secretions and allergens, and maintain nasal mucosal health, particularly in infants and young children.

Do not use if

No absolute contraindications for isotonic seawater. Avoid use if nasal blockage is complete without guidance on spray pressure for infants. Consult a physician if nasal problems persist beyond a few days.

Side effects

Generally very well tolerated with no significant adverse effects. Mild transient stinging or discomfort may occur on application in sensitive individuals.

How it works

Isotonic seawater solution works by hydrating nasal mucosa, reducing viscosity of secretions, and facilitating mucociliary clearance. Nasal irrigation with saline washes away particulates, allergens, and pathogens from the nasal passages.
