Uses

Used for emergency reversal of known or suspected opioid overdose, including respiratory depression caused by opioids.

Do not use if

Hypersensitivity to naloxone or any component.

May cause nausea, vomiting, sweating, increased blood pressure, tachycardia, or acute opioid withdrawal symptoms.

Patients should be monitored after administration because opioid effects may outlast naloxone activity.

A competitive opioid receptor antagonist that rapidly reverses opioid effects, especially respiratory depression.

Store at room temperature and protect from excessive light.
