Menaquinone-7 (Vitamin K2) is used as a dietary supplement to support bone health and cardiovascular function. It assists in the carboxylation of bone proteins such as osteocalcin and promotes calcium deposition in bone while reducing arterial calcification.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients taking vitamin K antagonists such as warfarin, as it may counteract anticoagulant therapy. Use with caution in patients with coagulation disorders.

Side effects

Menaquinone-7 is generally well tolerated. Rarely reported effects include mild gastrointestinal discomfort. No significant adverse effects have been established at typical supplemental doses.

How it works
