Uses

Used intravenously to provide fluids, calories, and correction of low blood glucose when clinically indicated.

Do not use if

Use is contraindicated in conditions where administration of the formulation components is inappropriate.

Infusion reactions, phlebitis, fluid overload, hyperglycemia, or local injection-site complications may occur.

Monitor fluid balance and blood glucose; use cautiously in renal impairment and metabolic disorders.

Provides glucose as an energy source and contributes to maintenance of blood glucose levels.

Store at 20–25°C and protect from freezing.
